Every year the team at Stockigns/Messagemaker Displays, along with some of its customers & suppliers take on an epic challenge in the aid of raising money for our local charity – The Children’s Trust. Last year the teams scaled Poland’s highest mountain and raised an amazing £15,000.
This year’s challenge is less than three weeks away and there is still time to sponsor this most taxing of quests. In 2024 the Challenge sees the teams taking on ‘The Home of the Gods’ Mt. Olympus – a 9500ft mountain in Greece.
This is a 2 day trek to the summit and back down again, including an overnight stay at 8,800ft in a mountain hut and taking on the summit on day 2.
The final ascent to the summit is where it gets really tricky, as the teams will have to don harnesses and helmets to take on this Class III YSD graded ascent to the top.
It will require a head for heights as well as a lot of fitness to top the mighty Olympus at just under 3000m.
Once again the chosen charity is The Children’s Trust. The UK’s leading charity for children with injury. Based in Tadworth in Surrey where the Trust runs a range of specialist care, education and therapy services for children and young people from across the UK and the UK’s largest rehabilitation centre for children with acquired brain injury (ABI).
