As part of its commitment to fostering safer roads and communities, SWARCO UK & Ireland has announced it has chosen to support Brake, the national road safety charity.
Brake, founded in 1995, that exists to stop deaths, serious injuries and pollution on roads, and to care for families bereaved and injured in road crashes. It campaigns for safe and healthy roads and delivers Road Safety Week. Brake is the national provider of care and support to victims of road crashes and their families through the National Road Victim Service, helping families cope with the shock, turmoil and devastation that road crashes cause families across the UK every day.
“At SWARCO UK & Ireland, we are committed to fostering safer roads and communities for all,” says John Pickworth, Managing Director of SWARCO UK & Ireland. “Brake is an inspiring and important organisation that aligns with our values of safety and collaboration, and we look forward to supporting them to promote awareness and education on the critical importance of road safety.”
As part of its ZERO HARM initiative, SWARCO UK & Ireland will be delivering a series of fundraising activities throughout the year, with the aim of raising £10,000 in support of the charity.
“We’re really grateful to have been chosen by SWARCO as a charity they want to support this year.” says Laura Challis, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Brake. “It’s wonderful they share our goal to reduce death and injury on UK roads. With their support, we can continue to raise awareness and campaign for change.”
