The Local Council Roads Innovation Group is looking for final entries for this year’s DfT Special Recognition awards, which form part of Strictly Highways in Blackpool from 3-5 October.
The awards, now in their fifth year, were established by the late Steve Berry OBE, the Department for Transport’s former Head of Highways Maintenance, Innovation and Resilience to recognise companies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to deliver change in the highways sector.
The judges are looking for nominations for a colleague, project or initiative that has “gone the extra mile” thanks to individuals and organisations who are driving change in the sector.
The winners will be announced during the DfT Special Recognition Awards ceremony on the evening of 4 October.
