The Transport Research Laboratory, TRL features extensively on the BBC’s Great British Railway Journeys programme tonight (Friday) on BBC Two at 6.30pm.
Presenter Michael Portillo starts his journey in this programme at Wokingham Station, and visits TRL’s headquarters and learns how TRL invented the Zebra crossing back in the late 1940’s and how it is involved in current and future transport research and innovation, such as testing e-scooters (pictured) and the policies that could support their use.
You can watch it on TV or on-demand on BBC iPlayer.
