A team of 21 from TRL are set to take on the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 22 March 2026, raising funds and awareness for Brake, the UK road safety charity dedicated to preventing road deaths and injuries and supporting those affected by road crashes.
The initiative brings together team members from across TRL’s departments, many of whom will be taking on a long-distance run for the very first time. With months of training ahead, the team is uniting around a shared goal, to champion road safety both on and off the course.
Beata Szoboszlai, Head of Operations for TRL Software, who is leading the initiative within TRL, said:
“At TRL, we’re passionate about making roads safer for everyone, and this is a fantastic way to put that passion into action. Many of our colleagues have never run this distance before, but their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting Brake and its vital mission is truly inspiring. We hope our efforts will raise awareness and funds that can help make a real difference in road safety and in the lives of those affected by road crashes.”
The team has begun their training and fundraising efforts, aiming not only to reach the finish line together but also to inspire others to take positive steps for road safety. Donations raised will go directly to Brake, supporting their work in promoting safe and sustainable road use and providing support to road crash victims.
