The intelligent transport systems supply chain has once again shown its support for one of the premier industry events of the year, as the Transport Technology Forum Annual Conference returns to Nuneaton, with the exhibition space now filled with 26 companies for the three-day event.
The Conference, from 6-8 May at the Leonardo Hotel at Hinckley Island brings together national government, local authorities, suppliers and academia to discuss government policy and showcase best practice and innovation in the use of technology in transport. So far more than 100 public sector delegates have registered from 45 local authorities.
This year’s event is on course to match last year’s biggest-ever TTF Conference, which reached an attendance of over 300 delegates including representation from 82 public sector organisations. The event is sponsored by Clearview Intelligence for the third year in a row, with the opening networking session again sponsored by Yunex Traffic and the working groups supported by AECOM.
The other exhibitors are (in alphabetical order): Aimsun, AppyWay, Brightly Software, Castle Surveys, COEVAL, Indra Systems, Messagemaker Displays, NAL, Rennicks, RTEM, smartmicro, SRL Traffic Systems, Starling Technologies, SWARCO, TagMaster UK, Teledyne FLIR, Telraam, Teragence, TRL, TWM Traffic Control, Vaisala, Vianova and Westcotec.
Although there are no more exhibition spaces, private sector representatives can still sign up for a place at the event as an individual attendee. There are also five remaining opportunities for Table Host sponsorships available. As well as full attendance at the conference for two people, including the networking event and conference dinner, hosts get a branded table at the dinner with the option to select up to six conference delegates to be seated with their representative at their table.
The TTF Conference is a key event for practitioners in local authorities and their supply chains to better understand the use of technology to deliver improved local highway services. With DfT funding and sponsorship revenue from the private sector, local authorities will be fully funded to send a representative who will receive a place at the Conference and an invitation to networking events, including the Conference dinner. They will also have their stay at the Conference hotel paid for. There are still some of these fully-funded places available.
The event will hear from a range of experts from the Department for Transport, Innovate UK, Local Authorities and other influential speakers to discuss challenges facing the sector, coming funding opportunities, wider transport policy and ongoing government projects. The draft agenda also includes detailed updates from the TTF’s Working Groups, while the supply chain will share insights into how technology solutions can help transform and solve future transport issues.
