UK SMEs launching new products and promoting key transport concepts at ITS World Congress in Atlanta

Staff from some of the brightest and best British Intelligent Transport Systems SMEs are on their way to the US city of Atlanta to showcase their innovations at the ITS World Congress 2027.

Seven companies are exhibiting on the UK & ERTICO ITS-Europe Pavilion, including Navtech Radar who’ll be launching “ClearWay Lite” – a version of its 360° radar-based Automatic Incident Detection technology designed specifically for quick deployment in safety-critical areas.

Fellow exhibitor Immense is promising to unveil a special offer for its newly upgraded traffic and planning simulation platform when CEO and Founder Robin North speaks on the stand on Wednesday morning, while Intelligent Instruments will spend the week highlighting the scourge of road traffic noise pollution, deemed by the World Health Organisation to be the second biggest environmental cause of health problems in Western Europe.  It’ll be promoting its SoundVueTM system which automatically detects excess noise from nuisance vehicles and enables police and city authorities to issue warnings of fines to offending drivers.

The sister companies AGD and MAV Systems are also participating.  AGD’s Senior Commercial Manager Kieran Corbally says the companies “Not only want to meet ITS experts from around the world in Atlanta”, but are also taking part “to support the UK ITS Industry and promote Birmingham’s hosting of the World Congress in two years’ time.”  AGD Systems will exhibit its NEMA-approved AGD650, harnessing edge-based AI to deliver high-accuracy detection and enhanced traffic control performance, while MAV Systems will showcase its new LPR Technology that offers more than just licence plate capture.

Nicander Intelligent Solutions is exhibiting its Public Transit Interface Module (PTIM), which is a centralised solution that improves bus priority without the need for new roadside equipment. Already in use in Dublin and Bellevue, Washington, the system uses real-time bus data to cut delays, improve reliability, and support cleaner, more efficient public transport.  Zenzic, which champions the UK’s Connected and Automated Mobility industry will use the Congress to engage with the international community and showcase the CAM ecosystem, including Deployment and Supply Chain projects.

A team from Transport for West Midlands will also be on the Pavilion to begin signing up visitors, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers for the 2027 ITS World Congress at Birmingham’s NEC, and to discuss with participants their ideas for this major event.  Under the theme “Connect Ideas. Transform Transport.”, Birmingham 2027 will be the first time the UK has hosted the Congress since London in 2006.

“We’re really excited to be showcasing so much great British innovation on our stand in Atlanta,” commented Chris Lane, who is leading TfWM’s work in hosting the event.  “We have a series of talks, discussions and receptions all week on the Pavilion, including welcoming Britain’s Consul General in Atlanta, Rachel Galloway, who will visit on Tuesday to explain what she and her team does in Atlanta and how they, and their fellow consuls across the US, can help UK companies build business there.  We invite all visitors to come along and see us on our Pavilion next week and will be really pleased to see them.

The European area of the UK & ERTICO ITS-Europe Pavilion in Atlanta will also feature cutting-edge mobility solutions.  It’s showcasing ERTICO Partner HERE Technologies, ITS Sweden member Triplesign System AB, as well as ERTICO’s own Innovation Platform, Enhanced European Valet Parking (EVAP).  The space will also promote the next ITS European Congress in Istanbul, on the 27–29 April 2026.

The ITS World Congress takes place between 24 and 29 August in the Georgia World Congress Centre, Atlanta, USA.  The UK & ERTICO ITS-Europe Pavilion is Stand 1141.
