UK transport technology leaders gear up for the ITS World Congress in Dubai

Participants in the UK Pavilion at next week’s ITS World Congress in Dubai have spoken of their excitement at taking part in the global event, calling it an “invaluable opportunity to forge new business partnerships.”

Eleven small and medium enterprises are exhibiting on the pavilion which is hosted by the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) for the Transport Technology Forum, supported by the Department for Transport, Innovate UK, the Department Business and Trade, and ITS UK.

“Clearview Intelligence is thrilled to be attending the ITS World Congress in Dubai and participating on the UK Pavilion stand,” commented the company’s International Channel Manager Nora Ali.  “We look forward to showcasing our innovative road transport technologies on a global stage, networking with international peers, and discovering the latest advancements in intelligent transport systems. This event provides an invaluable opportunity to forge new business partnerships and explore cutting-edge smart mobility solutions, reinforcing the UK’s leadership in transport innovation.”

Clearview is sponsoring the reception being held by the British Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Edward Hobart on Thursday 19 September at 1.30pm.  It’s one of a number of events taking place on the stand, along with an afternoon tea, official launch of the Birmingham World Congress 2027 and breakfast with the ITS Nationals network of ITS Associations across Europe, hosted by ITS UK.

They’re joined on the stand by AGD Systems, ANGOKA, Aurrigo, Immense, Neology, Nicander, Now Wireless, Starling Technologies, Westcotec and Zenzic.  All participants have an extremely cost-effective way to participate, providing an opportunity to showcase their innovations in road transport technology to more than 15,000 attendees.

Other comments from delegates include how the event helps them showcase cutting-edge innovation, collaborate, showcase expertise and further a journey of internationalisation.

“We are proud to be able to offer so many SMEs the opportunity to be part of the UK Pavilion and therefore the ITS World Congress,” commented LCRIG Director Kerry Winstanley, who’s organised the stand on behalf of the Transport Technology Forum.  “We found our participants at the ITS European Congress in Lisbon all achieved real value from being on the UK Pavilion, which is why the vast majority are joining us again in Dubai, and I look forward to watching them build new partnerships and business opportunities next week.”

Now Wireless

“Being chosen to exhibit on the UK Pavillion at the ITS European Congress in Lisbon last year enabled us as a company to demonstrate successful communications, AQ, JourneyTime sensors, and an AI data platform to a market outside of the UK.  We had a successful time promoting the company, building new relationships with the other companies on the UK Pavillion, and also allowed us to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, representing SME businesses in the UK.  Continuing the journey with the UK Pavilion at the ITS World Congress in Dubai allows us to build on the relationships already made, and also to explore a whole new global market. One in which we are excited to expand into.”

Paul Hudson, Project and Sales Manager

Starling Technologies

“Starling’s mission is to revolutionise pedestrian safety by creating dynamic pedestrian crossings that reduce the risk of collisions or near-misses allowing pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists to safely and efficiently share the streets by making towns and cities safer and more attractive for all. Starling prioritises the safety of pedestrians to make our towns and cities safer and more positive places. Starling runs a real time analysis of all street users, applies localised safety rules and then actuates existing signalling systems. We aim to reduce the number of accidents and near misses by creating a more efficient flow of traffic and pedestrians. This provides the owners and operators of our cities and towns and their amenities with safer streets and public spaces.”
