Valerann’s AI incident detection and prediction software showcased on BBC News

British start-up Valerann’s AI traffic incident detection solution has been featured on BBC News programme Tech Now.

The feature shows how the system processes data from various sources, including navigation apps and CCTV, to flag critical alerts.

The feature shows how the software identified a traffic slowdown and a subsequent collision by analysing Waze reports and video footage.

The report also stresses that the AI’s role is to assist operators, not replace them and that, as AI technology advances, it could extend to remote and rural roads, enhancing road safety.
