Drivers in and around Winchester in Hampshire will have 17 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week, six of which are expected to cause delays of up to 30 minutes. The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week, says the Hampshire Chronicle.
The full list is below:
• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am July 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.
• M3, from 8pm May 16 to 6am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closures for barrier work.
And a further 15 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 9.30pm July 1 to 6am July 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Long Parish to Winchester Road, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A27, from 8pm July 2 to 6am July 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3M/A27 both directions Harts Farm Way, slip road and lane closures for maintenance works.
• M3, from 9am to 5pm on July 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 13, hard shoulder closure for maintenance work.
A34, from 8pm July 8 to 6am July 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, Slip and lane closure for maintenance works.
• A34, from 8pm July 8 to 6am July 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound, junction 9, Lane closure for maintenance works.
• A303, from 9.30pm July 9 to 6am July 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Overton, slip road and lane closures for maintenance works.
• A3, from 9.30pm July 9 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Queen Elizabeth Park to Horndean, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• M3, from 8pm July 10 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11 to junction 9, Lane closures for concrete barrier scheme.
• A303, from 9.30pm July 10 to 6am July 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Overton to Bullington, Lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm July 11 to 6am July 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, M3, junction 8 to Bullington, carriageway and lane closures for roadmarkings.
• A34, from 8pm July 11 to 6am July 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Kingsworthy, Lane closure for maintenance works.
• A34, from 8pm July 12 to 6am July 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 southbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for roadmarkings.
• A3, from 8.30pm July 12 to 6am July 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 southbound, Chalton to Horndean, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm July 15 to 6am July 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Longparish, slip road and lane closures for drainage work, diversion via National Highways network.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
