Women in Bus and Coach announces first Annual Awards

Women in Bus and Coach is thrilled to announce its inaugural awards ceremony, which will
be held as part of its annual summit in Manchester this October. This event aims to
recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements of women within
the bus, coach, and community transport industry.

The awards ceremony will feature four distinct categories:

Best Woman in Bus, sponsored by Backhouse Jones Solicitors: This award honours a woman
who has demonstrated exceptional performance, leadership, and dedication within the bus
sector.

Best Woman in Coach, sponsored by IntSol Recruitment: This category celebrates a woman
who has demonstrated outstanding achievements and contributions to the coach industry.

Best Woman in Community Transport, sponsored by Dawsongroup bus and coach: This
award recognises a woman who has made significant impacts and shown unwavering
commitment to community transport services.

The Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill Best Ally Award, sponsored by the Go-Ahead Group:
This award acknowledges an individual who has been an outstanding ally in supporting and
advocating for women within the bus, coach, and community transport sectors.

In addition to these four awards, one exceptional winner will be chosen to receive the
prestigious Woman of the Year title sponsored by MCV Bus and Coach, representing the
highest Women in Bus and Coach honour.

and Coach Chair. “These awards not only recognise individual achievements but also

The annual summit, sponsored by Transport UK London Bus, C9 Recruitment and Metroline,
and awards ceremony will gather industry leaders, professionals, and advocates to celebrate
these achievements and to discuss breaking down barriers across bus, coach, and
community transport.
