The final phase of a £1.5 million scheme to resurface Coleshill Street in Tamworth is progressing along nicely. 

Staffordshire County Council’s highways crews have just finished resurfacing a section of Atherstone Street in Fazeley and have now moved on to resurfacing the A4091 Coleshill Street from the junction of New Street to No.85.  This follows on from work completed by crews to resurface sections of the Coleshill Street Island and its approaches back in July. 

The work also includes replacing ironworks and carrying out repairs to kerbs and footpaths where necessary. 

Crews will continue to work onsite between 9am and 3pm from Mondays to Fridays under full road closures with a clear diversion in place. 

The overall scheme remains on track for completion on Friday 10 October.

“It’s great to see the final stage of this major investment in Tamworth now underway. Once complete, the improvements will make journeys smoother and safer for everyone who uses these key routes.”
