ITS UK has welcomed Ruth Cadbury MP following her election as Transport Select Committee Chair.

Max Sugarman, Chief Executive of Intelligent Transport Systems UK (ITS UK), said: “Congratulations to Ruth Cadbury on her election as Chair of the Transport Select Committee.

“Now is a critical time for the transport sector. Advances in technology have the power to revolutionise our network, supporting jobs, economic growth and investment around the country, whilst also providing a safer, greener, more efficient and seamless transport system for all. 

“But, in order to do so, we need support for a strategic approach to transport technology, whether that’s traffic management and enforcement, connected and automated mobility, smart ticketing, mobility as a service or demand responsive transport, to name a few.
