Gallows Corner: TfL announces revised works completion date

TfL has announced that it expects to complete all works at Gallows Corner in Romford by the end of April 2026 when the whole junction (both roundabout and flyover) will re-open to general traffic.

Until then, the junction is closed to all vehicle traffic except emergency services, black cabs, and Transport for London buses, while works continue.

Re-opening has been delayed by unforeseen problems completing the water main replacement being carried out at the same time, which delayed some aspects of the flyover renewal.

Gallows Corner junction, both roundabout and flyover, is now closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles, black cabs and TfL buses.

No general vehicle traffic can make journeys though Gallows Corner in any direction during this closure. All major and local roads around Gallows Corner and the wider area are very busy. There are long queues and significant delays to journeys.
