SRL Traffic Systems has appointed Paul Lewis as chief executive officer to lead the next phase of its growth.
He joins SRL from temporary security specialist VPS Group, where he was UK and Ireland divisional CEO.
Paul Lewis has over 20 years’ experience leading large, operationally intensive service businesses, including senior roles at HSS Hire, Industrial Cleaning Equipment (ICE) and Rentokil Initial. Across his career he has built a track record of delivering growth through clear strategic execution and the development of high-performing leadership and front-line teams.
Lewis joins SRL at an exciting time for the company, which, backed by its owner 3i Infrastructure, continues to expand its REMOS offering – the UK’s first scalable remotely operated mobile signal solution – designed to
improve the safety of road workers and site personnel.
He begins his tenure with a tour of the country to visit many of SRL’s customers in the traffic management,
construction, utilities and events sectors and a selection of its 25 depots across the UK and Ireland.
Talking about his appointment, Lewis commented:
“I am very pleased to be joining SRL at an exciting point in its development. My focus is to unlock the significant growth potential of the business by building a resilient, future-proof organisation that consistently delivers high levels of service to our customers, backed by innovation that delivers real value. Just as importantly, I want that success to create an environment where our colleagues can thrive over the long term.”
SRL’s non-executive chair, Kevin O’Connor, added:
“Paul recognises that great businesses are built from the ground up. He will harness the passion and expertise of our front-line staff and leadership teams to lead SRL into the future.”
