North Yorkshire County Council has selected 16 contractors for its new four-year Civil Engineering Contractors Framework covering bridge repairs, resurfacing and highway works across North Yorkshire and York.
The NY Highways framework is split into two lots covering schemes up to £100,000 and projects above that threshold, says Construction Enquirer.
Works will include resurfacing, drainage upgrades, slurry sealing, retaining wall repairs, culvert works and Section 278 and Section 38 infrastructure jobs.
Fourteen firms secured places on the smaller works lot while 10 contractors landed spots on the higher-value £100k-plus band.
Eight firms won places on both lots: Bethell Construction, EC Surfacing, Hinko Construction, PBS Construction, Rainton Construction, Seymour Civil Engineering, Thomas Armstrong Construction and VolkerLaser.
The framework runs to March 2030 with a combined estimated value of £50m. The 16 contractors in question are: Ammlee Group International, Bethell Construction, CP Reynolds, Coating Services, EC Surfacting, Fox (Owmby), Hinko Construction, KS Cable & Groundworks, Metcalfe Plant Hire, PBS Construction, Rainton Construction, Seymour Civil Engineering, Thomas Armstrong, Vertex Construction, VolkerLaser and Wilf Noble Construction.
