Scotland’s First Minister has told the country’s parliament that a delay in an announcement on plans for dualling the A9 is because of the appointment of a new transport team.
This week Mairi McAllan had transport added to her cabinet-level portfolio and Fiona Hyslop was appointed Transport Minister.
Responding to Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross’s question over a delay to an announcement on the A9 scheme, Humza Yousaf told First Minister’s questions that announcement plans were shelved to allow input from Scotland’s new transport minister
“It is only right, of course, that I have asked that transport team to look at the detail of the dualling of the A9,” Mr Yousuf said.
He said there will be an update to parliament once the work is done over the summer.
