One of the UK’s busiest airports, London Stansted is using a remote management technology from APT SKIDATA to give it total visibility and control over the estate’s 14 car parks and 330 associated devices and systems.
Having worked with the UK’s leading parking solutions specialists for more than 15 years, Stansted Airport approached APT SKIDATA to understand how it could further improve the service delivery capabilities of the airport’s Landside Operations team, reduce complexity of managing multiple systems, and increase overall operational efficiency. The objective was to deliver even better customer service, reduce costs, and improve system resilience.
The solution is sweb Control, APT SKIDATA’s web-based management system that enables Stansted Airport to manage the intercoms, CCTV, and the parking systems across the entire estate remotely. This in turn means the Landside Operations team can quickly and easily respond to any customer interactions, consistently provide high level of customer service, and ensure that the delivery of parking services to the guests has a positive impact on their journeys.
Using sweb Control means the Stansted Airport team is fully supported any hour of the day or night, giving the management total visibility regardless of where they are located, either in the dedicated control room, off-site or at home. The ability to manage the control room remotely also ensures that the operations have full resiliency if anything were to happen to the key management location.
