Bam Nuttall is to deliver the main works package on the A27 Arundel bypass project.
The company forms part of the Linkconnex consortium, that also includes AECOM and Mace, which has been working on the design and preliminary stage of the project since the end of 2018.
Construction News now reports that the consortium will continue to work on the design of the project ready to submit a development consent order application for approval. At the moment, ground investigation surveys are taking place which are due to finish this summer. Construction, if approved, is set to begin in 2023/4 and the project should be finished by 2030.
Highways England has previously said that congestion was the main challenge in the area, with teh A27 being the only route to the south coast.
