Companies supporting the UK Pavilion at the 30th ITS World Congress in Dubai have reported a high level of interest on the first day of the event.
Eleven small and medium enterprises are promoting British transport technology excellence, thanks to the support of the Transport Technology Forum, Department for Transport, Innovate UK and the Department Business and Trade. It is hosted by the Local Council Roads Innovation Group and features AGD Systems, ANGOKA, Aurrigo, Clearview Intelligence, Immense, Neology, Nicander, Now Wireless, Starling Technologies, Westcotec and Zenzic. ITS UK is also on the stand.
The companies have taken advantage of the extremely cost-effective way to participate in the global event, providing an opportunity to showcase their innovations in road transport technology on a world stage.
The exhibition opened on Monday lunchtime with a delegation from Dubai’s government in attendance, and the stand has hosted a VIP reception with delegates brought around from overall event host ERTICO – ITS Europe.
The pavilion will host a traditional British afternoon tea this afternoon (Tuesday), a breakfast featuring the ITS National network on Wednesday, the British Ambassador on Thursday and the official launch of Birmingham’s hosting of the 2027 World Congress on Friday.
As well as meeting some of the event’s 24,000 visitors this week, participants on the UK Pavilion are also building working relationships between them, and looking to cooperation and new business opportunities.
