Deadline Extended: Enter the DfT Apprentice Awards by 9th April

Despite the closing date for the Department for Transport Special Recognition Apprentice Awards passing, enquiries have continued to come in so the deadline has been expended.

Organisers LCRIG say they’ve made the decision because this is the first event of its kind for the sector, so it wants to give as many apprentices as possible the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated.

New new deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 9th April 2025.

This extension also gives more apprentices the chance to attend the Innovation & Learning Festival on 2-3 July 2025, where they can engage with the wider sector, see live demonstrations, visit exhibitors, and attend CPD-certified Technical Training Sessions. There are 50 fully funded apprentice places available – including accommodation, travel to and from the hotel to the venue, meals and refreshments, and access to both days of the event.

Here are just some of the organisations who have already nominated their apprentices: Amey Staffordshire, Breedon Group, Eurovia, Highway Care, North East Lincolnshire Council, Salford City Council, Transport for West Midlands, Waterman Group, WJ Group, in addition to local authorities in the South West, Yorkshire and the Humber, London Boroughs, and the South East.
