A driver has been repeatedly caught driving over the speed limit on a stretch of the M62 near Manchester, accumulating 78 points in the process.

The Manchester Evening News reports 63 year old Philip Dodd was caught 26 times in the space of three months. Apparently he didn’t get the penalty notices for his works van because it was not registered in his name.

The paper says it was only when he moved in with his partner that he registered the van in his name and the 26 tickets were received.

He was banned from driving for six months.
