Contractor Galliford Try has started the search for specialist earthworks companies as it makes progress with its contract to upgrade the A47.
Through a public tender, it is looking for the companies for two dualling schemes. As Highways England’s East Region Delivery Partner, the firm is seeking to get earthwork specialists on board for early contractor involvement to provide technical and commercial input into the detailed design phase and help formulate the budget and programme.
The first project is dualling of 3km of the A47 from Blofield to North Burlingham, and the other dualling project will see 9km of new dual carriageway from Tuddenham to Easton. The project also involves building two new junctions and four new bridges.
The company said the deadline is Friday June 4th
