Galliford Try has announced it has won three civils contract wins worth a total £98m.

One job, for Calderdale Council, is on the £34m A629 Phase 2 Halifax town centre scheme. The redevelopment will see Galliford Try improve transport in the area through pedestrianisation, new cycle routes, new bus stops and upgraded crossing facilities. The contractor will also create a new public space outside Halifax Central Library

The project is fully funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund.

The contractor’s environment business has won two contracts for Thames Water under its AMP7 framework, worth £64m in total.

Galliford Try Environment will build a £33m pipeline in Thames Water’s Riverside Flow Monitoring Zone in south London in anticipation of increased demand from new housing developments.

The other Thames Water contract, worth £31m, involves installing a 9,000 metre clean-water pipeline connecting the Netley Mill Water Treatment Works in Guildford, Surrey, with the main reservoir network to the west of the town.
