Gwynedd Council has started the tender process to find contractors for its £100 million civils framework.
This will include work on the trunk road and county areas in North and mid-Wales.
Gwynedd Council has launched the framework, which is for works across five Welsh local authority areas: Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham, West Wales and the Valleys and Powys.
It is divided into four lots; major civil engineering, construction works and civil engineering support services and major construction design work for the region. This It covers all five local authority regions and consists of construction works, civil engineering support services and engineering design services.
Two further sub lots have been split geographically. Lot 3, valued at £50,000 to £1M, is simply for construction works. It covers Gwynedd, Conwy and Denbighshire and Flintshire and Wrexham. The final lot is for work worth from £50,000 to £1M, including construction works and works for “complete or part construction” as well as civil engineering and will cover works in West Wales and the Valleys and Powys.
The contracts will operate from 12 April 2024 to 30 April 2026.
Interested contractors have until 16 February 2024 to submit their tenders.
