The Institution of Civil Engineers has named Helen Littler its STEM Ambassador of the Year for her work promoting civil engineering and science, technology, engineering and maths to young people.
The Senior Engineer at WSP has been recognised for a range of activities including mentoring pupils, organising group events for schools, engaging online, attending education events, getting colleagues into the STEM ambassador scheme, contributing to ICE Education and Inspiration policy and reaching out to the parents and influencers of young people by talking to adult groups.
Suzanne Moroney, ICE Head of Member Engagement said she stood out “for her passion and commitment, as well as the breadth of activities she has undertaken, even turning her hand to stand-up comedy”.
