This week the UK’s Intelligent Transport Systems industry association has marked National Careers Week by highlighting a series of examples of why the industry is a great one to work in.
On its popular LinkedIn and Twitter pages, it shared a number of “Day in the Life” interviews with a range of people working in both the public and private sector delivering better transport through technology, who explain how they got into the industry, what they have done and now do and advice for those who may be looking for a career in ITS.
The Society’s Early Careers Forum also shared content, with Vice Chair Lawrence Penn of WSP detailing what inspired him to embark on a career in ITS as well as how the Early Careers Forum is committed to encouraging career development and providing relevant opportunities to increase ITS awareness.
Details of chartered status within ITS was also shared along with an guide to the new MSc course in ITS from Loughborough University.
On top of this, ITS (UK) marked International Women’s Day with a special online Forum meeting featuring a range of international speakers.
