Jet Plant Hire invests in groundbreaking new equipment

Jet Plant Hire has announced that it has invested in a range of new sustainable, top-of-the-range equipment.

The road planing specialists have taken delivery of a new Wirtgen W100Fi road planer, with two further new Wirtgen machines joining the fleet in the coming months. The new, advanced model delivers a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to the previous model. It’s supported by a performance tracker, allowing transparency and efficiency for customers on every job.

In addition to this, Jet is expanding its industry-leading fleet with five new Volvo Tridem trucks. The vehicles have eight wheels, but offer the same manoeuvrability of six-wheel tippers and give a significantly increased payload. They’re also better for the environment, reducing CO2 emissions and causing less congestion than alternative options. The new trucks follow the success of six tridems that Jet already operates.

John Lee, Operations Director at Jet Plant Hire, said:

“We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built for setting the standard for sustainable road planning through innovation over the past 36 years. Updating our equipment to ensure that we’re as efficient and sustainable as possible is a key part of that success. I’m confident that our new Wirtgen planers and Tridem vehicles will enable us to continue providing the best service and value for our customers.”
