Yunex Traffic has announced the appointment of Jon Newhard as CEO. The US manager builds on over two decades of experience in information technology, business development and commercial strategy, and has shown repeated ability to build and grow businesses in the ITS sector.
Newhard was selected by Mundys – as the sole long-term shareholder – to lead the next phase of Yunex Traffic’s growth and to drive value creation in all areas in which the company operates, as well as in particularly strategic countries such as the USA, where the manager was born and has spent most of his professional life.
The ITS sector is in a continuous expansion phase worldwide as it responds to the growing need for efficient and environmentally friendly solutions in which new technologies are playing an increasingly important role.
Newhard gained functional experience in sales and product management with global companies such as Siebel and SAP. He was CEO of Trafficware, a company that provides traffic management solutions, from 2013-2018 and then lead Cubic’s ITS division until 2020. Having obtained a degree in Economics and Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Newhard completed an MBA in General Management at Harvard Business School. Mr. Newhard also serves on the board of Miovision and Synapse ITS.
