Costain has appointed Sue Kershaw as head of its Transportation division, including highways.
Ms Kershaw, who is highly experienced in driving complex, high profile transport and construction programmes, was previously Managing Director of the Infrastructure Advisory Group at KMPG. She is a qualified engineer and is also currently President of the Association for Project Management, a member of the Mayor of London’s Infrastructure Advisory Panel and a Royal Academy of Engineering visiting professor at University College London’s School of Construction and Project Management.
Before her last position at KPMG, she was UK infrastructure head of programme management for the KPMG Major Projects Advisory, Director of rail, Europe at CH2M and deputy director of transport for the Olympic Delivery Authority prior to starting her career at Taylor Woodrow.
The move comes after the announcement of the departure of the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Darren James who is joining Keltbray as its Chief Executive.
