Kier Group has reported a strong set of FY26 results, with revenue rising 7.5% to £4.4 billion and its order book reaching a record £11.9 billion.

Adjusted operating profit increased by 6.7% to £169.8 million, while the business also reported an average month-end net cash position for the first time in a decade.

The results, announced to the market this morning, point to continued growth across the Group as it enters the new financial year.

Alongside the financial results, the Group has upgraded its medium-term targets and launched a new corporate strategy centred on three priorities: growth, resilience and performance.

The company said the strategy would provide the framework for its next phase of development, with the record order book providing a strong pipeline of work heading into FY27.

The return to an average month-end net cash position is also a significant milestone for the business. It means that, averaged across the financial year, Kier held more cash than debt.

The Group said it was entering FY27 with “great momentum”, following what it described as an outstanding year.

The results come against a backdrop of continued investment and demand across the infrastructure and transport sectors, where contractors and delivery partners are managing increasingly complex programmes alongside pressure on cost, productivity and resilience.

With its upgraded medium-term targets and new strategy now in place, attention will turn to how the business converts its record order book into delivery and further growth during FY27.
