The consumer electronics company is looking to enter the transport space with a new concept for transport which it says ‘blurs the distinction between home and car”.
It’s unveilled the OMNIPOD at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which it says is an on-the-road extension of a person’s living space.
It’s described as “a future mobility concept cabin that can reconstruct the customer’s space for purpose,” offering in-vehicle home appliances such as a fridge, and what it calls an adaptive “Meta Environment Screen”,
The OMNIPOD is designed to function as a home office, an entertainment centre or even a lounge. The company says it offers a look at how a busy individual might be able to get more done in a future where working remotely doesn’t mean having to work from home.
