National Highways have said that the next full closure of the M25 in Surrey will not take place until “after April.” A five-mile section between junctions 10 and 11 were closed in both directions from Friday night until re-opening ahead of the originally announced 6am on Monday.
The next stretch to be closed will be between junctions 9 (Leatherhead) and 10 (the A3) but will, says the agency, involve a longer diversion, This closure, part of a £317m improvement project, is the first of a further three between now and September.
A National Highways statement said: “We know many people changed plans and amended their journeys and we’d like to thank everyone who had to make different arrangements due to our work.”
