Merry Christmas and thank you from Highways News

As the country winds down for Christmas, the co-owners of Highways News, Paul Hutton and Adrian Tatum, would like to thank you for reading the site through the year, and for your positive feedback.

The idea of Highways News was developed around Christmas 2019, with the site launching the following spring, just as Covid 19 was gripping the country.

Over the years we have grown to be what many in the industry see as an important, trusted resource, bringing the latest news about highways and transport technology daily, with a large number of important stories, making Highways News “The only place you need to go for everything you need to know,” when it comes to our industry anyway.

Through 2024 we have expanded by engaging with freelance reporter, the industry veteran Kevin Borras. Kevin suffered a health scare in September but is out of hospital now and looking forward to rejoining the team in September. We also welcomed Sam Wibrew to lead business development. Thanks also to Ed Miller for keeping the site running and fixing any bugs and to Jack Hutton for his support leading our social media coverage during his A levels and now while at University.

Over Christmas and the New Year we’ll update the site with important stories and continue to bring you podcasts each Wednesday, and we’ll be back with a full service again from the 6 January.

So all that’s left is to say Merry Christmas and see you in 2025 for our sixth year.
