Carmaker Nissan and Amazon Alexa have teamed up to provide voice services for drivers.
NissanConnect Services Skill with Amazon Alexa allows drivers to use their voice to remotely start their Nissan, unlock doors or flash the car’s lights in what Nissan say gives “convenience and peace of mind right from your home”.
“Forgot to lock your vehicle? Looking to remotely start your Nissan to heat up or cool down before you get in?,” details ask. “The NissanConnect Services Skill with Amazon Alexa allows you to connect with and control your Nissan vehicle, or vehicles, as quickly and easily as having a conversation.”
Feature availability is dependent on vehicle model, trim level, packaging and options. A trial included with vehicle purchase. Compatible vehicles at present are newer models of the Armada, Murano, Pathfinder, Rogue Sport, TITAN and Altima, Maxima, Rogue, Sentra.
