North East Lincolnshire Council starts search for contractors for a four-year capital works framework

North East Lincolnshire has started the process to find new contractors for its four-year, £30m capital works programme.

The work will include internal and external construction, including repairs, maintenance and refurbishment, as well as work on new capital projects.

In addtion, it covers extensions to council-owned assets such as leisure centres, schools and academies, reports Construction News.

Equans Services, which has been responsible for delivering the council’s regeneration and infrastructure services since 2010, is managing the framework.

The council said places on the £50m capital works framework will be awarded “based on 100 per cent quality criteria”. Applications are open until 24 November.

The framework will last from April 2024 until March 2028.

Equans is contracted to provide regeneration services to the council until June 2025.

The agreement sees the firm provide property and facilities management, including security; architectural, building surveying and civil engineering; highways infrastructure and maintenance; planning and building control.

North East Lincolnshire’s current capital projects include the £42m South Humber Industrial Investment Programme, which includes infrastructure projects on the Humber Estuary.
