North of Scotland: Meet the Buyer North set to bring businesses together

The Supplier Development Programme will hold the seventh annual Meet the Buyer North event on Wednesday 10 September at The Music Halls in Aberdeen. This free event will provide suppliers with an opportunity to learn about upcoming contracts and opportunities in the North of Scotland.

Partnered by the Scottish Government, Scotland Excel and the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services, this free event provides businesses operating in the North of Scotland the chance to connect with key public sector buyers, including Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Highland Councils.

Attendees will have the chance to network with representatives from a range of public sector bodies, such as Crown Commercial Service, Historic Environment Scotland, Police Scotland, Transport Scotland. There will also be a health zone feature NHS National Services, alongside NHS Grampian, NHS Highland and NHS Tayside.

Several private sector organisations will also be on hand to discuss upcoming projects and supply chain opportunities in the North of Scotland, including Acrow Bridge, Balfour Beatty Construction, Carbon-Zero, hub North Scotland, Murphy, Ogilvie Construction, Robertson Facilities Management and more… 

On the day, suppliers will have the opportunity to listen to presentations from the Supplier Development Programme, Scottish Government, the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services, and more, on a wide range of procurement topics.

Following the success of last year’s event in Aberdeen, which attracted 590 attendees, we are excited to return to The Music Hall, in Aberdeen, once again.

“The Supplier Development Programme is also delighted to be hosting this event in partnership with the Commercial and Procurement Shared Services representing Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Highland Councils, as well as Scottish Government, and Scotland Excel, to help local businesses find, win and keep public sector contracts.”
