PTV opens 2023 User Group registrations encouraging local authorities and consultants to attend

Modelling and simulation software company PTV Group’s UK and Ireland Division is welcoming registrations for its User Group Meeting in London on 27 November.

The one-day meeting, which includes an evening social event, offers participants the chance to learn about the newest features and gain insight on the use of PTV software.

This is particularly timely given it will be during the application round for the £70 million of funding for traffic signals in the Government’s “Plan for Drivers“, £20 million of which is earmarked for authorities to tune up traffic signals to better reflect current traffic conditions, with another £20 million to be used to deploy advanced technology for traffic signals, making use of machine learning and AI to optimise traffic flow and balance traffic across city centres – something delivered by PTV’s modelling software.

Speakers already confirmed at the User Group meeting include Shaleen Srivastava of Goleyo, Newcastle University’s Professor Elisabetta Cherchi, Newcastle University and Anan Allos of Atkins.

There will also be breakout sessions looking at different aspects of modelling, plus sessions led by the company’s users.
