The team that makes up the running of the Local Council Roads Innovation Group have been honoured with an award.

The Blackburn-based organisation won Team of the Year at the Highways Awards in London.

This award goes to “a team of employees who have undertaken exceptional work within the public or private sector to improve/sustain the outputs or efforts of their organisation, over and above their general working activities”.

LCRIG not only organise Strictly Highways in Blackpool, the Innovation Festival in Newark and a series of webinars, they also supply authorities and the supply chain with day-to-day support to boost innovation on our local road network.

The small, close-knit team alsos provide the Secretariat for the Transport Technology Forum and deliver a number of third-party events.
