SRL shortlisted in major manufacturing awards

SRL Traffic Systems has been shortlisted in the Made in the North West
awards. Now in its ninth year, the awards celebrate the top companies in the region’s
manufacturing sector.

The Middlewich-based firm has been shortlisted in the Automotive,
Aerospace and Rail award category.

SRL has grown rapidly and introduced the only multiphase adaptive detection system (ADS)
technology for mobile units, enhanced its CCTV offer and opened the largest ITS depot in the UK
and Republic of Ireland.

The company, which now employs 175 people, has also expanded into
the high-speed and compact variable message sign VMS markets and made several senior
appointments to its management team to support its ambitious growth plans for the future.

Richard Tredwin, chief executive officer at SRL Traffic Systems, said: “We are absolutely
delighted to be up for this top regional award and to be among some of the North West’s finest
manufacturers within the automotive, aerospace and rail sector.

“SRL has seen rapid growth and we now offer the UK and Republic of Ireland’s largest hire fleet
of mobile traffic signals. 2021 is shaping up to be a terrific year so far for us and we have
ambitious plans for further growth and expansion, so it is hugely rewarding that the effort and
expertise of the team has been recognised.”

The winners will be announced at a black tie event at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester on 28 July.
