Transport for London is reported to be looking at four different scenarios for how legal action against the proposed expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone might affect its plans to introduce the restrictions across the whole of the capital.
London’s Evening Standard reports that it is “disaster planning” four possible outcomes from the legal challenge being brought by four Conservative-run London Boroughs plus Surrey County Council.
It says these range from the court giving the green light for the expansion, ordering minor or major changes, or requiring the entire consultation to be restarted, which could take months.
The High Court hearing takes place on 4 July.
