The Institute of Asphalt Technology has released details of this year’s Annual Conference, jointly hosted by the East Midlands and West Midlands Branches at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield. The event will be held on 8 and 9 May.
It says that, while innovation and technology evolve on a daily basis within our industry, this conference will look at the benefits they produce for our people, clients, and long-term sustainability of the product and sector.
Keynote speaker for the Conference will be the LGTAG President, Amanda Richards, who will open the Conference ahead of notable speakers from organisations including National Highways, TRL, Tarmac and Wirtgen.
The IAT’s Executive Director, Lyle Andrew said, “Our Conference has become a major highlight in the calendar following the success of past events in Belfast and Heathrow, with such positive and encouraging feedback from delegates, exhibitors, and speakers. We are delighted to have Amanda to give our keynote address this year, opening for an engaging panel of industry speakers and topics.”
Lyle goes on to say, “We are extremely grateful to this year’s headline sponsor, Breedon Group, who committed their support a few months ago having identified the Conference as a key event in the sector.”
Details of the full Conference programme will be released soon and will include the social aspects such as golf, a Jaguar Land Rover tour and the President’s dinner.
The 2022 and 2023 events really highlighted the importance that a Conference has to the IAT. Not only the networking and learning opportunities, but also how the positive vibe can contribute to growth and development of the Institute.
