Transport and mobility innovation company TRL has given details of its strategic partnership with world-renowned engineering consultancy Buro Happold, first announced in Thursday’s Highways Voices podcast from Highways UK (22m45s in).

The companies say the partnership is set to leverage the complementary strengths of both organisations as the public purse faces unprecedented challenges around the delivery and renewal of road and rail infrastructure in the coming decades.

By combining TRL’s transport research and development expertise with Buro Happold’s engineering, consultancy and advisory services, the two companies aim to deliver innovative, future-focused solutions to meet the UK’s complex challenges including the delivery of smarter energy systems, asset optimisation and renewal.
