TTF looks “beyond the plug” for EV Charging Infrastructure at pre-Conference meeting

The Transport Technology Forum’s Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Interest Group will look at the next phase of public-sector EV charging delivery when it meets ahead of the TTF’s annual conference Leicestershire in March.

With plug-in infrastructure now scaling through LEVI and other programmes, the session will look beyond deployment of the current, established roadside infrastructure to the challenges and choices that come next.

These include wireless charging and cross-pavement approaches and the practical realities faced by councils, such as power constraints, important accessibility requirements, cyber security and procurement challenges.

The Interest Group brings together local authorities, industry, central government and researchers to explore the next phase of public EV charging delivery.  Its aim is to support local authorities and industry with a clear understanding of what is emerging, what remains difficult and where support is needed as deployment becomes more complex.

The meeting will hear from DfT and OZEV, industry representatives and the Energy Saving Trust.

The event takes place on the afternoon of Monday, 16 March ahead of the TTF Live Conference on 17 and 18 March at the Leonardo Hotel, Hinckley Island.  See the EV Working Group meeting agenda here, and sign up here.
