Valerann have completed an unheralded ‘grand slam’ of industry awards after winning the IBTTA Toll Excellence Award and this week claiming the European Commission’s Excellence in Road Safety prize. Last month the BBC ran a feature on the company’s prediction software on its Tech Now news programme.
Valerann won the Commission’s Award in the Technology category, and was recognized for its AI-powered platform, Lanternn by Valerann™, which uses data analytics to improve road safety management. The award, part of the European Road Safety Charter program, celebrated Valerann for setting “new standards for smart, proactive road safety management” by enabling faster incident detection and more efficient traffic control without needing new physical infrastructure.
The annual IBTTA Toll Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and innovation in the tolling industry and Valerann received the honour in the Private Sector Innovation category, joining a select group of global innovators whose work is shaping the future of road traffic management.
