Transport for West Midlands is offering free bus travel for all passengers after 7pm every night this week throughout the region.
“Whether you’re ticking off your Christmas shopping list, catching up with friends, or heading home from work, this is your chance to travel for free,” it says in a statement.
“No tickets, no hassle – simply hop on board any bus within the Transport for West Midlands boundary and enjoy a free journey on us!”
The Free Evening Christmas Travel offer is designed to help attract new customers to the bus, and has been timed to tie in with late-night Christmas shopping and festive activities in the region. The offer is part-funded through the Bus Service Improvement Plan and is a partnership between bus operators and Transport for West Midlands (TfWM).
The organisation adds that the timing is to allow regular commuters to complete their journeys without overwhelming services during peak times.
