The Women in Bus and Coach initiative (WiBC) is proud to launch its new campaign, ‘Spotlight On’ that is aimed at showcasing the incredible contributions of women in all roles across the bus, coach, and community transport sector.
From professional drivers and engineers to human resources professionals and CEO’s, the campaign will highlight the diverse talents and achievements of women in this dynamic industry. Despite the significant strides made towards gender equality in recent years, women in the Bus, Coach and Community Transport sector still face unique challenges. ‘Spotlight On’ seeks to address these challenges by shining a light on the achievements of women in the Bus and Coach industry, inspiring others to pursue careers in this field and fostering a more inclusive and diverse workforce.
The campaign was launched at a sold-out event last night (7 th March), that celebrated Women trailblazer’s in the Bus and Coach sector from the past, the present and the future.
Louise Cheeseman, Chair and Founder of WiBC, said: “Women in Bus and Coach is committed to promoting gender diversity and equality in the Bus, Coach and Community sector. Our ‘Spotlight On’ campaign aims to showcase the exceptional women who are driving innovation, leading teams, and making a significant impact across the industry. We believe that by highlighting the achievements of women in the bus and coach sector, we can encourage more women to pursue careers in this field and create a more inclusive and diverse industry.”
