Highways England has started work to fill in a missing link on a cycle route alongside the A14 between Fenstanton and Swavesey in Cambridgeshire.
As a result, cyclists and pedestrians will have an uninterrupted route between Feb Drayton and the Conington area. The route will tie into existing facilities north of Fenstanton, offering a safe crossing point for walkers and cyclists.
“This is great news – a new off-road route for cyclists and pedestrians will really benefit those who live in the local area and, as the local member for Fenstanton, I’ll be able to experience the benefits first-hand,” said Cllr Ian Bates, chairman of the Highways and Transport Committee at Cambridgeshire County Council.
