Yunex Traffic delivers complete EV charging hub solution for award-winning farm shop

Yunex Traffic has delivered a comprehensive electric vehicle charging solution for the award-winning Strawberry Fields farm shop in Lifton, Devon.  The new EV charging hub is powered by 100% renewable energy generated on site by a wind turbine and solar panels, reinforcing the farm’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy.

Laura Mounce, Strawberry Fields’ Operations Director, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to bring a sustainable EV solution to the region that not only supports greener travel but also celebrates the farming heritage and community spirit of Strawberry Fields.”

The hub features six Kempower Satellite systems balancing a total of 900kW of power across 12 rapid dispensors, supplied by Yunex Traffic.  In addition to providing the hardware, the company is also responsible for both planned maintenance and reactive support, to ensure reliable and efficient operation.

Carried out by Yunex Traffic’s locally based EV Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) engineers, this ongoing support will not only help Strawberry Fields comply with the UK Government’s Public Charge Point regulations (which require a 99% reliability rate for public EV infrastructure), but also support its mission to deliver exceptional customer service, sustainably.

Wilke Reints, Managing Director of Yunex Traffic in the UK, said:

“The breadth of our EVCI service provision capabilities continues to expand, and we are proud to support Strawberry Fields, by delivering a sustainable and reliable EV charging experience.  We worked closely with the Strawberry Fields team to fully understand their business and charger requirements,, and developed a tailored solution that meets their performance, capacity, and availability requirements.”

“From site surveys and civil works to installation, proactive maintenance, and parts supply our experienced teams provide advice, guidance and support to customers who are establishing an EV charging infrastructure, like Strawberry Fields.”

Operating from 15 service centres nationwide, Yunex Traffic’s field engineers are all supported by a 24/7 in-house service operations centre, which is staffed by an experienced Yunex Traffic team.  The centre provides a range of services, including remote monitoring and incident management, ensuring any issues are swiftly identified and resolved, either remotely or on-site, maintaining high availability and driver confidence in the charging infrastructure network.

Rolle Nieminen, Head of Sales, UK & Ireland at Kempower, said:

“Yunex Traffic has delivered an outstanding solution for Strawberry Fields, and we are proud that Kempower chargers are at the core. Together, we are supporting Strawberry Fields’ sustainability ambitions while providing drivers with a reliable, high-performance charging experience that is ready for the future.”
