Ealing Council is leading the launch of a major new highways and transport consultancy framework worth up to £858m over four years.
The new Highways & Transport Professional Services Framework will be open to all 33 London boroughs and the City of London, providing call-off consultancy services across four specialist lots, says Construction Enquirer.
Work covers everything from bridge inspections and annual condition surveys to flood risk planning, transport modelling and large-scale highways engineering. The largest lot, worth £660m, will focus on general engineering and transport planning support.
The Framework breakdown is as follows:
- Lot 1 – Structures Inspections
One supplier to carry out general, principal and special bridge inspections and feed findings into Ealing’s bridge management system.
Value: £33m - Lot 2 – Road Condition Monitoring
Consultant to deliver annual surveys of footways and carriageways and develop asset management strategies.
Value: £33m - Lot 3 – General Engineering
Five firms to share a wide range of services including civil and highways engineering, S278/S38 advice, road safety audits, public realm and placemaking design.
Value: £660m - Lot 4 – Flood Management
Two consultants to support local flood risk strategy, modelling, funding bids, asset registers and planning advice.
Value: £132m
